A series of short blog posts providing some tips and ticks I have picked up along the way.
An introduction to full spectrum photography
Infrared photography unveils a hidden world beyond visible light, capturing wavelengths between 700 and 1200 nanometers to create surreal, dreamlike images. By modifying a camera to remove its IR cut filter and using specialised infrared filters, photographers can explore near-infrared light, transforming ordinary landscapes into something new. With techniques like custom white balance and channel swapping in post-processing, infrared images take on a unique vibrancy or dramatic monochrome. For me, infrared photography is an exploration of the unseen, offering a fresh perspective on the familiar and inspiring creativity in every frame.
